FORS, CLOCS and WRRR Alignment
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) and The Construction and Logistics Community Safety Scheme (CLOCS) are nationwide specifications in relation to vehicle safety.
For bronze level recognition there is no stipulation to fit vehicle safety products, nor any reference to telematics or tracking support, but operators are set a time limit in which to progress to FORS silver accreditation.
FORS silver requirements are now aligned to the requirements of the Construction Logistics and Cyclist Safety (CLOCS) Standard and TfL's Work Related Road Risk (WRRR) requirements.
Whilst FORS and CLOCS remain the key nationwide specifications for road vehicles, there are also other standards relating to publicly funded projects, one of the most recent additions being High Speed Two (HS2) vehicle standards.

O4 - Engine Idling
The ScorpionTrack Fleet system uses telematics to identify instances of engine idling, so idling can be factored into route planning and waiting times minimised.
O5 - Vehicle / Equipment Theft & Unauthorised Access
ScorpionTrack Fleet plus a choice of Scorpion alarm, immobilisation and electronic locking systems reduce the risk of vehicle and equipment theft and limit unauthorised or illegal access.
D8 - Driver's Hours & Working Time
For non-tachograph operations, ScorpionTrack Fleet provides evidence of recording and examining driver hours and of addressing incidents where driver hours are exceeded.
D9 - Driver Infractions
ScorpionTrack Fleet records and monitors all driving infractions, including any incident that would result in endorsed licence points, so remedial action can be taken to minimise recurrence.
S3 - Audible Warning Systems
Scorpion safety systems equip vehicles over 3.5 tonnes with audible warnings for left-turn and reversing manoeuvres, with a manual on / off switch for situations such as working at night.
S4 - Blind Spot Minimisation
Scorpion safety systems help eliminate or minimise front, side and rear blind spots on vehicles over 3.5 tonnes through a combination of direct and indirect vision aids and driver audible alerts.
S6 - Performance Data
ScorpionTrack Fleet baselines and actively monitors performance indicators such as total fuel usage, distances travelled and transport-related CO2 using vehicle telematics.
