Active monitoring for unauthorised movement
Scorpion devices are state-of-the-art vehicle tracking units that actively monitor for unauthorised movement. If unauthorised movement is detected, our 24/7 Secure Control Centre will discreetly contact you to verify what's happening.
If it's confirmed as a theft, we ask you to report it to the police and obtain a crime reference number. Once you've done this, we liaise directly with the police control room, providing speed, direction, ignition state, battery condition and location details to support recovery - accurate to within 10 metres, subject to environmental variables.
How Scorpion tracking works
Vehicle fitted with tracker
Your vehicle is fitted with a ScorpionTrack or Datatool tracking unit.
GNSS signal sent to satellites
The unit locks onto GNSS satellite constellations - GPS, GLONASS and Galileo - to calculate a precise position fix.
Signal sent to GSM cellular tower
The positioning data is transmitted to nearby GSM cellular towers.
Data transferred to secure cloud server
The data received via the satellites and cellular towers is transferred to a secure cloud server.
Customers view this information
The tracking data is presented over a secure internet connection through either the ScorpionTrack or Datatool portal.
24/7/365 monitoring
Our Secure Control Centre contacts customers in the event of theft or unauthorised movement.
